Dr. Jolie Stroup, B.Sc., DMD
Meet Dr. Jolie Stroup, your friendly neighborhood dentist, and a true advocate for healthy smiles. Her journey into the world of dentistry began at the tender age of 16, sparked by the positive influence of her great uncle. This early inspiration set her on a path to excellence. Dr. Stroup’s commitment to her field was evident from the start, earning her the prestigious President’s Entrance Scholarship to Simon Fraser University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
Her passion for dentistry led her to the University of British Columbia’s School of Dentistry, where she excelled and earned several distinctions, including awards in preventative dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Even during her dental studies and after graduation, Dr. Stroup dedicated her time to giving back to the community. She volunteered at the REACH Community Health Centre on the east side of Vancouver and also served as a clinical instructor at UBC, teaching second-year dental students in the field of pediatric dentistry.
Returning to her roots in Aldergrove, Dr. Stroup joined Walnut Grove Family Dental as an associate right after her graduation in 1998. In June 2018, she took the reins as the owner of the practice, cementing her commitment to providing exceptional dental care to the Walnut Grove community. With three sons who have grown up in the area, Dr. Stroup feels extraordinarily fortunate to work and raise her family in the same close-knit community.
Throughout her impressive career, Dr. Stroup has had the privilege of watching her patients grow through various stages of life, becoming an integral part of their dental care journey. Dr. Stroup’s commitment to excellence doesn’t end with her patient care. She continuously seeks to expand her knowledge and skills through ongoing education and study clubs. Her recent certifications in advanced techniques, such as the Invisalign system, Bioclear restorative system, and inhalation and oral sedation, reflect her dedication to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry.
Beyond her professional life, Dr. Stroup enjoys an active lifestyle, supporting her sons in their athletic pursuits, including basketball, soccer, and track. She also finds joy in adult ballet, taking leisurely walks with her beagle and embarking on exciting adventures with her husband and three sons. Dr. Stroup isn’t just your dentist; she’s a dedicated member of the community, committed to your dental health and overall well-being.
