Doctors & Staff

Meet Our Dental Team

When we asked our patients what words would best describe our office, one word stood out: family.  We have been in Walnut Grove for over 20 years, adding more square footage and more staff as our practice grew over the years.  Our patients also appreciate seeing a familiar face when they visit our office.    At Walnut Grove Family Dental we appreciate the value our long term staff bring to the practice.  While most of our staff live in Walnut Grove, some live in Langley and Murrayville.  Allow us to introduce the staff at Walnut Grove Family Dental.

Dr. Jolie Stroup, B.Sc., DMD

Dr. Jolie Stroup, B.Sc., DMD

Dr. Stroup knew she would be a dentist when she was only 16, thanks to the positive influence from a great uncle. Having earned the President’s Entrance Scholarship to Simon Fraser University, Dr. Stroup completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

Accepted into the University of British Columbia’s School of Dentistry, Dr. Stroup was awarded many distinctions such as a preventative dentistry award in her first year followed by a pediatric dentistry award in her final year. During her dental studies, and after graduating from the School of Dentistry, Dr. Stroup volunteered her time as a student, and as a dentist, at the REACH Community Health Centre located on the east side of Vancouver.  Dr. Stroup also taught second year dental students as a clinical instructor at UBC  in pediatric dentistry.

Having grown up in Aldergrove Dr. Stroup was happy to return to the area for her practicing career.  Right after graduation in 1998 she joined Walnut Grove Family Dental as an associate and took over ownership of the practice in June 2018.  Dr. Stroup has 3 sons who have grown up in the Walnut Grove community and she feels extremely fortunate to have been able to work and raise a family in the same community.  Remaining at the same practice since graduation in 1998 it has been a privilege for Dr. Stroup to watch all of her patients grow through all aspects of life and to be a part of their dental care.

Dr. Stroup strives to keep current with continuing education and study clubs.  Some of her more recent courses include certification in the Invisalign system, Bioclear restorative system and inhalation and oral sedation.  She is also a Spears study club member.

In her free time Dr. Stroup  keeps busy watching her sons pursue their various sports including basketball, soccer and track. She also enjoys adult ballet, walking her beagle and travelling with her husband and 3 sons.
